Chocolate & Fruit Skewers

Strawberry, pineapple, banana and mango skewers served with a delicious melted chocolate sauce.


  • 1 ripe mango
  • 200g of milk chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 432g of tinned pineapple pieces in juice, drained
  • 3 medium bananas (approx 150g each), peeled and cut into 1.5cm pieces
  • 400g of strawberries, hulled and halved

  1. Use a knife to peel the skin off the mango lengthways as thinly as possible. Cut the flesh away from the large stone in centre and cut into 1.5 cm pieces.
  2. Thread the mango, strawberries, banana and pineapple pieces onto skewers, alternating the ingredients as you go.
  3. Place the chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a small pan of simmering water. Stir the chocolate as it begins to melt. Once it is fully melted and smooth, add 100ml of hot water from the pan and whisk until the chocolate sauce has a smooth and glossy consistency. If the sauce looks like it's becoming lumpy, put the bowl back onto the pan over a medium heat and continue to whisk until it becomes the desired consistency.
  4. Drizzle the chocolate over the fruit skewers and serve immediately.
