Pear & Blue Cheese Salad
This recipe works in combination with: Bacon & Avocado Salad, Chicken & Avocado Salad, Chicken Pasta Salad with Salsa Rosa, Ham & Potato Salad.
A simple and easy to prepare recipe of pear, rocket, blue cheese and ham.
Ingredients
- 30g of wild rocket leaves
- 50g of ham, thinly sliced
- 1 ripe pear, peeled, cored and thickly sliced
- 40g of blue cheese
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tsp vinegar
- 1/2 tsp sugar

Method
- To make the dressing, mix the sugar, oil and vinegar in a bowl, season with salt and pepper, and then toss together with the pear and rocket.
- To serve, simply arrange the dressed salad on a plate, top with the ham and crumble the blue cheese over. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Cook's tips
Prepare the pear at the last minute and rub a little lemon juice over the cut pieces to stop discolouration. If taking this as a packed lunch, store the dressing in a separate container and add it to the salad right before you eat.
